The Making TIME For Strategy Course is a step-by-step process for overloaded leaders to become less busy and more successful.

Time is your most precious resource

As a leader, your future success is totally dependent on how you use your time.

If you can’t get out of ongoing operational tasks, you’ll never be able to make breakthrough progress.

You already know that though. And you’re trying hard to be more strategic.

But you have a million things on your plate. Demands from customers, colleagues, your boss, your team. Emails and messages that never stop. New projects, new meeting requests, new deadlines.

  • You’ve tried to prioritise – but very little of your workload seems optional…
  • You’ve tried to delegate – but your team is already overloaded too…
  • You’ve read all the productivity advice…

…but you’re STILL crazy-busy and sucked into the weeds.

We get it - becoming more strategic IS freakin’ hard

How are you supposed to get out of the operational detail?

  • You block out time to think, but end up using that time to catch up with an urgent operational task.
  • Working from dawn to dusk and feeling that you’ve not accomplished anything meaningful can be totally demoralising.
  • You work in a complex organisation with stakeholders demanding your attention left, right and centre - how are you supposed to find time to think, let alone put in sustained work on the important things that aren’t urgent?

Trying to run any faster is a bad strategy. You’re already maxed out.

But there is a better way...

Introducing The Making TIME For Strategy Course

The Making TIME For Strategy Course is a concise and intensely practical video-based training for busy executives who want to operate more strategically.

We won’t just tell you to “focus more and become more productive”. We’ll help you quickly make significant shifts on the four areas truly holding you back from greater impact: Tactics, Influence, Mindset and Environment.

  • 2 short hours - because your time is a scarce resource
  • 30 concise, actionable lessons - so you can free up hours each week, fast
  • 42 day immersion - daily ‘tiny nudge’ emails to grow your strategic awareness

A proven approach to free yourself up

Delegation is going well

Thanks to the course, delegation is going well - to the point I am wondering what to do myself!

Paul Wilcox

Incredibly engaging and helpful

I'm really enjoying this course! It's helping me step back, and think about what are my high value activities, which I wish I had spent more time on earlier this year. More importantly, the short-form content learning is helping me build out a plan as to how to implement these changes in the next quarter, and is incredibly engaging.

Katie Owen

A much clearer vision

I have successfully delegated a lot of my work to create the time to do higher level strategic work. I have a clearer vision of what I need to do to stay on track to continue making positive progress.

Alison Bartalino

Lessons for the rest of my life

I didn't realise how easily and quickly I could accelerate the growth rate of my impact. The many short activities were always fun and sometimes revelatory. I learned an approach on the course that I'll take with me for the rest of my life.

Eleanor White

More time for high value activities

I’ve been able to prioritise my work and have created more time for high value activities. I’ve learnt what is and isn’t important to me, to better delegate, and to think in a new way. I recommended it to my manager, who is now working with Richard himself!

David Bentley

I'm providing true leadership now

Beforehand I was in the loop on EVERYTHING: very hands-on and involved. Now, I’m providing true leadership to my team… and I have seen them flourish. I really have found time in my schedule for 'thinking' and realised that I am not missed at those meetings I no longer attend.

Beckinam Nowatzke

I've taken back control of my time

Before starting the programme, I struggled with a lack of control and direction, which left me feeling frustrated and powerless. However, the programme has empowered me to take control of my time and priorities, allowing me to become much more strategic and focused on my goals. I'm no longer just reacting to situations but proactively taking charge of my career. If you're feeling like you lack control and direction in your professional life, this programme can give you the tools and mindset you need to take charge and achieve your goals.

Runa Macleod

Simple and practical

Having read the book, I also joined the course – and it's simply amazing. Excellent material; very focused.

I love the simplicity with which you have presented such powerful ideas and mapped it to practical ways to implement it. This is indeed a great program!

Sujit Gangadharan

Absolutely recommended!

I’m now able to focus on planning and strategic activities without any interruptions. I’ve reevaluated my calendar meetings and declined many where I am not adding any value or where I feel no value is being added. Absolutely recommended!

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the course so inexpensive?

Good question! Richard’s 1:1 clients pay five or six figures to work with him for a year. Our goal with this programme is to give back to a much wider community and help as many people as possible get out the weeds and work on things that truly matter. We’re not expecting to make much money at this price point - and that’s totally fine by us.

Why is the price so affordable?

We’ve kept production costs low. It’s a simple webinar/screencast format shot from Richard’s home office giving you the simple information you need to succeed.

When do I get access?

Immediately. You’ll receive login details as soon as you purchase.

What’s the time commitment?

The core video training content itself is around 2 hours (shorter if you watch it at accelerated speed!) There are optional bonus lessons available which brings the total run time to about 3 hours, if you want to watch everything.

Videos are mostly 2-10 minutes long and have a very clear action step for you to take.

Plan to spend perhaps 3-4 hours total on the programme. You can take as long as you like to complete it, but we recommend you set yourself a personal deadline of 2-4 weeks.

Am I a fit for this?

The course is designed for busy entrepreneurs, executives and other business leaders. To get the most out of it, you’ll be actively working in a demanding role and/or have multiple and conflicting calls on your time.

I’m completely overloaded – will this work for me?

If you’re completely overloaded then you urgently need to make some changes - and no, it won’t magically get better next quarter! The reality is we all have more things on our plate than we have time to do - but it doesn't need to lead to overload and overwhelm.

The solution is adopting a more strategic mindset - and building a robust plan. The course will be perfect for you - as long as you commit to actually doing the work.

I’m already pretty good at being strategic – what about me?

Congratulations! The answer is that the material in the course will be incredibly high-leverage for you, because you know how to maximise the strategic impact of your time.

Just like an expert sports player just needs a few tweaks to their (already good) technique in order to achieve a breakthrough, so you can use the course to refine and hone your leadership impact any further.

Does the course come with email or call support?

No, the course is designed to be self-guided and self-paced. At this price point we cannot provide 1:1 support via email or calls.

Is there a refund policy?

You bet! If you complete the course and are dissatisfied with your investment within 30 days of purchase, we’ll give you a full refund - no questions asked.

What’s different about this and the Making TIME for Strategy book?

The course complements our acclaimed book, Making TIME for Strategy. The book provides a menu of ideas; the course is a laser-focused and optimised implementation methodology. This means the book is a great complement to the course, but it is not required.

It’s time to become a more strategic leader

The business environment right now is challenging and complex and it’s not slowing down. It won’t get quieter next quarter!

You’ll find yourself working harder and harder whilst results stagnate, unless you can elevate your leadership and:

  • Extract yourself from the tyranny of the urgent
  • Fearlessly create space on your calendar to think and to be creative
  • Invest significant blocks of time in strategic projects that ‘move the needle’

So, if you’re ready to get crystal clear on what ‘being strategic’ actually looks like for you, to actually make a significant shift in your use of time, and to fundamentally rethink the way you look at your own leadership and impact, then you’re in the right place.
