Jeff Bezos of Amazon has often said that when he looks at a leader, he looks to see if they're a missionary or mercenary. He says mercenaries just want to flip their stock and make a profit, take home a big paycheck. Missionaries actually care about something bigger and he says the funny thing is that the missionaries are the ones who often end up making the most money because they're out up to something big in the world, they want to make something happen, they've got real focus on the customer experience on the product or service that they stand for and so in this season of the impact multiplier, CEO podcast, I wanted to talk to a variety of GCC, chief executives, to find out from them, what makes them tick. What's the impact that they want to have, beyond just the financials? Profitability is essential. I would like to say finance is the fuel but what's the destination? And so we'll get into what's the company mission? What's their legacy that they want to leave as senior leaders? And how do they put that into practice on a daily basis. I enjoy these conversations, I enjoy peeling back the layers and finding out what makes these extraordinary leaders tick, what gets them out of bed, and what drives them to do the things that they do. So enjoy this season of the CEO impact multiplier podcast, Mission-Driven CEOs.
